Electric vehicles (EV) are not just four-wheelers and personal single-user rides as Yinson GreenTech (Yinson) reiterates at its newly opened rydeEV Experience Centre.
It is the largest location for Yinson to date.
Based in Petaling Jaya, this new 8,000 square-feet location is not only an e-bike leasing centre as it also offers battery swapping services for all things rydeEV, an expansive line-up of micro-mobility products from Yinson.
Yinson customers and those curious about the rydeEV or any two-wheel EVs that Yinson offers can visit this new centre to test-ride e-bikes and other micro-mobility platforms, learn more about the battery swapping process, and find out the leasing packages that are being offered.
“At Yinson, we believe that energy transition needs to be inclusive. This means improving the accessibility and affordability of green tech to as many as possible. As Southeast Asia has the world’s highest motorcycle ownership per capita, (it makes sense) to provide an economical and seamless alternative to existing solutions. For Yinson, that means removing barriers to EV adoption — we will achieve this with rydeEV,” said Lim Han Weng, Group CEO, Yinson.
Those visiting the newly opened rydeEV experience Centre will be able to check out the entire fleet of EVs that Yinson currently offers.
Malaysia Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, had been present at the launch with Lim and Syed Ahmad Faiz Syed Yusoff Fadzil, Managing Director, rydeEV.
“Green mobility is one of the key focus areas in our recently launched New Industrial Master Plan 2030’s net zero mission. As Malaysia proactively courts investments in green tech innovations and solutions, we also aim to create opportunities for our SMEs, particularly through the development of holistic, low-carbon mobility ecosystem as outlined by our National Automotive Policy. To that end, rydeEV’s affordable e-bikes are right on the mark as a product that is both energy- and cost-efficient, making it a highly attractive, sustainable, and inclusive mobility solution to all levels of consumers, from corporates to SMEs, and the general public,” added Tengku Zafrul.
