After the big signing with UnionDigital Bank, which saw BigPay and all Capital A affiliated payment and fintech platforms making their big push into the Philippines, the management of Capital A rebranded its digital arm — it now calls itself MOVE Digital (MOVE).
This change will completely transform airasia Digital into this new entity. As for the airasia Superapp, it will be called airasia move and will be updated along with the brand refresh.
According to Capital A, the changes will be completed before December 2023 with the main brand being switched over sometime in October 2023.
Making this change is significant for Capital A as the airasia Superapp now offers more than just fintech functions as it is integrated with the travel, banking, and public hailing (p-hailing) services that Capital A offers.

“Imagine seamless access to travel and financial services on one single platform, with integrated financial features, such as balance display, top-ups, and payments from BigPay, alongside travel and p-hailing services — that is the value proposition being offered as the superapp of choice,” said Tony Fernandes, Executive Chairman, MOVE and CEO, Capital A.
“My role as the Executive Chairman of MOVE will focus on enhancing synergies between airasia move, BigPay, (and other connected platforms across Capital A.) With the (brand refresh,) the market can expect an enriching user experience that will seamlessly integrate with each other,” he said.
Part of the brand refresh includes the appointment of the new CEO for MOVE — Nadia Omer.
“(With Nadia at the helm and the coming changes that will soon take place,) we are now going to (make) real progress as we are a travel super app, moving people whether it is for ride-hailing, with flights, or just taking the bus. At the same time, we also offer booking services for food, hotels, and shopping and enable everyone to go cashless — that is truly being seamless,” Fernandes added.

For 2025, the expectation is to grow airasia Move as it will be one of the main drivers for the revenues of Capital A. For Fernandes, growth will come from non-airline segments, such as hotels, electronic hailing, and insurances. Of that, the biggest will be hotels.
Users of the airasia Superapp can expect to see the brand refresh to airasia Move in the coming weeks and months.
