Pico, the Extended Reality (XR) upstart from Bytedance that made its global debut last year, is taking a bold new step for immersive engagement with its all-new collaboration with Aloft KL Sentral (Aloft).
The arrangement — planned, managed, and executed via PICO Malaysia — will see 50 hotel rooms in Aloft be outfitted with the PICO virtual reality (VR) headset and wireless controllers. These time-limited rooms, renamed the XR Exploration Room, will offer guests the opportunity to try the VR experience — an experience that no one would expect when staying at a hotel.

Holiday-seekers who are keen on booking this room can do so from November 1 2023. This special arrangement, which runs until December 31 2023, will offer guests 15 different games and virtual apps to try — all of them are preloaded in the headset and will be accessible throughout their stay.
For those who cannot miss out on their daily achievements in their VR games, they can log into their own PICO account and continue on with their virtual quests.
As an additional bonus for booking the XR Exploration Room, Aloft guests will also get the chance to win a PICO 4 All-in-One VR headset and up to RM1,000 in Lazada vouchers. The latter can be used to purchase the PICO VR system in Lazada.

Creating this arrangement will certainly open up a new target audience group for PICO and give newcomers to VR a chance to try something that is not in their usual scope of interests.
