While it continues to expand the capabilities of its digital services, Maybank also shared earlier this month that there will be downtime for its entire digital platform offerings. The downtime will be from 3am to 6am on November 19 2023 (Sunday) — there likely be extended hours of downtime due to teething and implementation issues.

This is part of the upcoming routine maintenance exercise that Maybank plans to carry out so it ensures these services are up-to-date and fully optimised. The services that will experience downtime include:

  • Maybank2u web-portal and app
  • MAE app
  • Maybank2u Biz web-portal and app

It’s important to note that MAE will also be down during this period so any cash transfers or online payments cannot be performed during this maintenance window period.

All Maybank customers and clients are advised to perform all transactions in advance and to contact Maybank Group Customer Care if they face any issues after the maintenance exercise is completed. Businesses that have overseas transactions should carry out all transactions before or after November 19 2023. The contact details are as per below:

While this is a routine process, it’s a nice touch that Maybank put out an alert to ensure all its users are aware and would not perform any critical transactions during this maintenance window.
