While most Malaysians are trying to get approvals for their share of the eMadani cash incentive, and failing at some point, the government of the day had moved to make one thing very clear — any transfer made for this cash allowance will result in immediate account barring of the user.

This reminder comes from the Malaysia Ministry of Finance (MOF) itself as it moves to clamp down on any shady arrangement that will see the allocated RM100 being transferred to other accounts.

This is to ensure that no illegal transfer is made and that users are also doubly wary about any scam activities that want to take the funds for its own shady dealings. Punishing users who have been scammed makes it clear that the responsiblity is on them to ensure that the eMadani cash allowance is not misused.

After all, the end-goal of the Ministry of Finance is to have the eMadani programme raise the digital transactions between Malaysians and merchants.
